A Little Preview

The weekend I moved in to ETSU was preview weekend, and it was probably one of the most fun weekends I’ve ever experienced. I met tons of new people and participated in many awesome, hilarious, crazy events like the silent disco and the hypnotist show. We painted the pride walk’s SOCON square representing various athletic teams around campus. On the last night, we competed in a lip sync with the classic song “All Star” by Smash Mouth. Sadly, we did not place, but everyone in my group was an all star (pun intended).

While we got do all of those fun things, my group also got to volunteer at the Meet the Mountains Festival at founders park. We were there for about two hours doing odd jobs, selling t-shirts, and doing inventory for the directors of the event. I’m glad I got to give back to the city I now call my second home.
